Yesterday I went to see Aunt Dot and she seemed real good. We changed her clothes into a new outfit I had gotten her, picked out by my daughter. She commented that she had never seen anything like it, the mix of colors. (Is that good or bad?) She also told me to tell Christine, my daughter, thank you and that she had real good taste.. We went out to have lunch with the other residents and she appeared to enjoy being out there. Made a few comments about a certain resident that
talks all the time and Aunt Dot does not like that. It was a good day.
Renae just called. She just left Grace. She has been doing Aunt Dots nails on Wednesdays. Today Aunt Dot did not get her nails done as she did not want to go to her room. She wanted to stay out in the common area with the other ladies. They had pie and coffee and visited - for about 2 hours! Renae did get back into Dots room to hang her pictures. She thought that Aunt Dot was doing great.
Maybe Dot is feeling better and starting to accept her new life.
I am taking her to the Doc next week to check her out; look at her arm which is still quite sore; look at her feet. just a general check up. We need to get a doctor on file for her. He has to ok side bed rails and even support hose that they will provide. With a doctors orders!
Things are looking good today! Keep her in your prayers.
Take care, Rhonda

Monday July 21 took Auntie to the Dr and spent some time away from her home.
We stopped for ice cream and drove around Boise. She told me "this is where the old homestead is" and I told her "this is where her sister Nora used to live"
We visited this way for about an hour then she told me she needed to get back home. She had chores to do. She got in and out of the car like a champ and told me we could do this again.
So we will.
I believe she is happy and doing "her best"
peace and prayers Patty
