Just getting back from Sunbridge.
Aunt Dot is about the same. Yes, she does "talk to you" but it is more like she mumbles and says an occasional word that you know. Norman. Last night. Mom.
But not forming coherant sentances. Just making noises. Only stayed about 30 minutes and then it was time to go into lunch.
Her right foot was shoe/sockless. Her 2nd toe had a bandage on it and the heel/ankle was wrapped in guaze.?? She kept pressing real hard on the right foot. Presing it onto the foot rest. Like it was hurting her and if she pressed on it it was better.
Really no changes from earlier in the week.
Keep her in your prayers. Thank you.
Rhonda

Hospice care

While I was on vacation, Sunbridge called Patty and recommended Hospice. Patty chose Legacy. I met with Legacy Hospice and we are starting hospice care for Aunt Dot. These ladies seemed really great and caring. I am hoping with more visitors for Aunt Dot she will come back. She is pretty out of it. They are keeping her doped up due to pain and she sleeps alot. You have to wake her each time you go in. she is always asleep.
The nurse that I talked with from Legacy, Terri Lynn, says that the pain that patients with dimentia feel is different, but it is there. I had been told that these patients do not feel pain. I was concerned about all the meds but they (nurses and doctor) do seem to know a bit more about it than I do!

Well, the times have changed!
We have sold the place on Road 64. To a Mr. Justin Taylor. Does anyone know him?
I was told he lived just around the corner, Road 62. His address if 6213 W Melville.
I tried to get the Cristianos to purchase the place. I know that Norman would have wanted it that way. But it apparently was not meant to be. I hope that everything works out well for all of the neighbors with this sell.

Unfortunately there is no reason for us to drive back to Pasco! We may have to just go for a visit..

Just so that everyone knows. When Aunt Dot passes away we will have her cremated here in Boise and then make arrangements to have a memorial service in Pasco. With Bruce Lee. We will let everyone know when that time comes.

Well, feel free to post any comments on this site. I would love to hear from you all.
Take care and thanks for taking an interest in Aunt Dots condition.
